President Klaus Iohannis said that in Romania there is no pressure of an immigration wave

Romania can accommodate 1,785 refugees in six reception centers, says President Klaus Iohannis. He announced yesterday that he convened the Supreme Defence Council for September 17th, when he will present his point of view on keeping immigrant voluntary quotas. Klaus Iohannis said that in Romania there is no pressure of an immigration wave and he added that we can treat the problem with calm, responsibility and solidary with countries where there are large numbers of refugees. Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu will participate at the first edition of the Salzburg Forum

Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu will participates, today, at the first edition of the Salzburg Forum, event which marks 70 years since the founding of the United Nations. According to a press release from the ministry, the meeting’s topic of discussion
discussion will be „The rule of law and the laws of war”, with emphasis on human rights, international humanitarian law, principles of territorial integrity and self-determination, or settlement of frozen conflicts. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

President Klaus Iohannis promulgated the new Fiscal Code

President Klaus Iohannis promulgated the new Fiscal Code. He explained yesterday, in a press conference, that he urged the review of the normative act in parliament because a thorough public debate of the measures contained in the new fiscal legislation was needed. In a message posted on a social network, Prime Minister Victor Ponta welcomed the promulgation of the new Fiscal Code by President Iohannis. „I am very happy. The Fiscal Code is now a certainty. VAT 20% – overall quota – and 9% for food, USL’s fundamental promise, very well for Romanians”, wrote Victor Ponta on Facebook. (RADIO ROMANIA reports).
