Romanian Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă, is on six-day official visit to the United States. According to press a release, he will attend a ceremony during which he will be included in the Gallery of Honor of the US Army War College. The agenda also includes meetings with military officials and watching training facilities for the American troops. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

US Ambassador to Romania, Hans Klemm, is to submit credentials to President Klaus Iohannis

Hans Klemm, the US ambassador in Romania, will  submit credentials to President Klaus Iohannis on Monday. Recently, Hans Klemm was sworn in as ambassador in our country in a ceremony at the US State Department’s headquarters, in the presence of the American Secretary of State, John Kerry and the Romanian Ambassador to Washington, George Maior. On that occasion, Hans Klemm said that he will support the development of bilateral trade and investment and that he is committed to support Romania’s efforts to reform its administration and to combat corruption. Three Romanian soldiers were wounded near Kandahar military base in Afghanistan

Three Romanian soldiers were wounded near Kandahar military base in Afghanistan in a car bomb explosion, while executing a patrol mission. Corporal Ion Ichim was already discharged from hospital and returned to his unit, informs the Ministry of National Defence. The other two, Lieutenant Adrian Iriciuc and corporal Sergiu Andrei Lineschi are in stable condition and are evaluated to determine future therapeutic conduct. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
