The Foreign Ministry in Bucharest issued a travel warning

Bulgarian meteorologists have set for tomorrow yellow code for snow, ice and strong winds for some regions of the country. The authorities ask drivers to start driving only with properly equipped cars, to drive with adapted speed to the weather conditions and to follow the instructions of Traffic Police. After Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Foreign Ministry in Bucharest also issued a travel warning for Bulgaria and recommends Romanians who want to go abroad to consult specialized websites for information on weather and traffic situation. Air traffic in winter conditions at airports in Bucharest

Air traffic is taking place in winter conditions at Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport and Bucharest Baneasa Aurel Vlaicu International Airport. No flights are canceled at Henri Coanda Airport because of the weather conditions. Some flights may encounter delays of up to 30 minutes at take-off, due to the de-icing procedures underway, the delays potentially reaching up or exceeding an hour. Both of Bucharest’s airports have been serviced constantly by the airports’ own equipment to maintain the movement area in optimum conditions and conditions for complete safety of air operations are ensured. Foreign Ministry informs Romanian citizens who are, transit or want to travel in Belgium that on January 6 and 7 railway workers in Brusseles and in the south of the country will be on strike. Romanian diplomacy warns in a statement that the action could cause disruption of rail traffic in the rest of the country too and advises travelers to consider alternative variances. Foreign Ministry reminds that Romanians traveling abroad can use „Travel safely” application, which provides information, travel advice and the opportunity to be alerted if special circumstances arise.
