Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos attended a charity event dedicated to Romania’s vulnerable children

The government’s target, regardless of who will be prime minister, is that in 2020 we no longer have institutionalized children, said Prime Minsiter Dacia Ciolos yesterday at the opening of the „Concert of Hope”, a charity event dedicated to Romania’s vulnerable children. „Romania started in 1990 with 100,000 institutionalized children in over 700 centers and slowly things changed for the better, but we still have today 57,000 children who are not in their families”, said Dacian Ciolos. In his view, along with finding families for these children, it is important that, by applying measures, such as those contained in the anti-poverty package, the dropout phenomenon to be stopped. The event at the Romanian Athenaeum was organized by „Hope and Homes for Children” Foundation Romania. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
