The Giurgiu-Ruse bridge, between Romania and Bulgaria, will be closed for three days, starting on Friday, five hours a day, from 7:25 to 12:20, in order to be submitted to endurance tests. The National Company of Road Infrastructure has announced that the works to finish and consolidate the Romanian side of the bridge, which started las year, have been concluded. The Union Save Romania supports Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos for a new mandate, after the elections

The president of the Union Save Romania (USR), Nicusor Dan, believes that the political project advanced by the Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos adds up very well to the electoral program of his party. Nicusor Dan added that that was the reason why experts of the USR are preparing an answer to the proposals launched by the Prime Minister.
Nicusor Dan: On Friday we will present the document that we will send to the Prime Minister, as a complement in the same spirit, with specific issues on the program that we will bring forward. The Union Save Romania supports Dacian Ciolos for a new mandate as Prime Mnister, after the parliamentary elections.

Romania opposes the signing of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between the European Union and Canada

Romania is against the signing of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between the European Union and Canada (CETA), because this country maintains visas for Romanian citizens, the Foreign Affairs Ministry has announced. Bucharest keeps its reserves towards the signing of this document, because the Canadian state has not settled this issue, as the Canadian Prime Minister has promised during the September meeting with his Romanian counterpart and also in the final statement of the EU – Canada summit. Romania has asked for visa liberalization with Canada and has made this a pre-condition for the signing of the EU – Canada Trade Agreement.

Border Police in Timis have found five Iranian citizens and nine Iraqis trying to illegally enter the country

Border Police in the Romanian county of Timis have found five Iranian citizens and nine Iraqis, trying to illegally enter the country from Serbia. They were noticed by means of the thermo-vision system. The group, which includes two minors, was brought at the headquarters of the Border Police for checking. The migrants had no documents and were bound for a western European state. On Wednesday, police has found another 29 migrants, 17 of them, minors.
