The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania warns on Lufthansa flights

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania warns Romanians who intend to travel with Lufthansa airline that pilots’ union, „Cockpit”, announced a two-day strike: today for short-haul flights and tomorrow for long-haul flights. The call for strike refers exclusively to Lufthansa flights. For both days of strike a special flight schedule was created which can be consulted online Lufthansa’s official website. Bucharest General Mayor Gabriela Firea will start off the winter holidays

Bucharest General Mayor Gabriela Firea will start off the winter holiday season on December 1, at Constitutiei Square, where 2016 festive lighting commences. A Bucharest Christmas Fair will start the same day, to be open throughout December 30 and it can be visited daily. Other winter holiday celebrations organized by the municipality winter holidays with the occasion of winter holidays will be hosted by the Constitutiei Square, the Old City area, the Universitatii Square, George Enescu Square, Kiseleff Park and Tineretului Park. For the first time, the Old City area will join the venues for the winter season celebrations, announces Bucharest City Hall. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

The Triumphal Arch in Bucharest was officially reopened after two years of restoration works

The Triumphal Arch in Bucharest was officially reopened after two years of restoration works. Following the completion of consolidation and restoration works the military parade organized on Romania’s National Day returns to its traditional place, under the Triumphal Arch, said Bucharest General Mayor Gabriela Firea. The Triumphal Arch will be part of the tourist circuit and the municipality estimates that the monument will attract more than 25,000 visitors in the first year after its opening. Near the Triumphal Arch an exhibition on the history of this monument was opened. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
