Minister of Justice Florin Iordache announces that he will discuss about the amnesty and pardon law

Justice Minister Florin Iordache announced that he will meet today with Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu to discuss about the amnesty and pardon law. He argues that therefore prison overcrowding problem would be solved. „We must take a decision at Government level”, said Florin Iordache,
„I will meet with the Prime Minister and depending on the decision that we will take at the Government level I will inform you. Amnesty, from my point of view, should not be taken into account, but pardon is a phenomenon”. Professional associations also support the pardon because it is an attribute of every state in criminal matters for such an act of clemency. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

Romanian Foreign Ministry warns its citizens who want to travel outside Romania

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns Romanian citizens who want to travel outside Romania that a Yellow Code for snow and ice is in force in 23 districts in Bulgaria. In Greece and Serbia Orange Codes for storms, blizzards and ice were issued and a Red Code for strong winds was issued on the Croatian coast in the Adriatic Sea. Warnings of low temperatures were issued in Hungary, Slovakia and southern Poland. In Western Europe there are also warnings of bad weather. Most refer to low temperatures and strong winds, but there is also the danger of avalanches, Orange Codes in this regard being issued in Norway and France. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

Snowfalls returned in southern Oltenia, Muntenia and Dobrogea, including in Bucharest. Code Yellow warning for moderate snow and snow storms was issued in Caras-Severin, Mehedinti, Constanta and Calarasi counties until 14:00 and in the southeast of Constanta county there will be mixed precipitations. A meteorological information is also in force until tomorrow evening according to there will be strong winds in the regions situated in the south and in the south-east of the country. In Banat, Oltenia, the southern half of Muntenia and in Dobrogea counties there will be generally weak snowfalls. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
