Moscow’s Partiarch Kiril is visiting Romaia

The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Partiarch Kiril, has arrived in Bucharest this evening, to take part in the celebration of Saint Dimitrie cel Nou, the guardian saint of the Romanian capital. The Russian Patriarch has said that he has come to Bucharest in order to affirm the common values of the orthodoxy. He was welcomed at the Otopeni Airport by the Romanian Patriarch, Daniel, who heads the Romanian Orthodox Church. Partiarch Kiril hs said that he has come to Bucharest to congratulate Partiarch Daniel, who has been leading the Romanian Church for 10 years and added that Romanians and Russians are related through common values. When people from different countries share the same values, their relationship could only be good and are a great chance to live in peace and harmony, Kiril said.

Romania has a relatively good economic growth, EU says

Romania has a relatively good economic growth and debt ratio and there are basis to fall within the 3% budget deficit this year and the next, according to recommendations made by the European Union. The European budget and human resource Commissioner Gunther Oettinger has met on Thursday with members of European affairs and budget committees in the Romanian Deputies Chamber and Senate. After the meeting, Mr. Oetinger added that Romania had a potential to absorb European funds more efficiently.

The Justice Reform Plan is to be assumed as an initiative by a parliamentary group

The project to modify the laws of the Judiciary will be assumed as an initiative by a parliamentary group, so as it will be able to enter debate, without the need to wait for the notice from the Venice Commission, the Romanian Justice Minister, Tudorel Toader has said on Thursday. Mr. Toader added that he has asked for the letter of advice from the European institution, as far as the procedure to designate high prosecutors, but this notice is only expected in December. The Romanian High Court of Cassation and Justice has asked the Justice Ministry to send back to Parliament the justice
