President Klaus Iohannis sent a message of condolence to his Italian counterpart

President Klaus Iohannis sent a message of condolence to his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella in which he expressed his solidarity and the solidarity of the Romanian people with Italy and with the Italian people. According to a press release, Romanian President’s thoughts are with the families of Romanian citizens and with all those who lost their lives in the Genoa bridge incident and he wished a quick recovery to the persons injured. Prime Minister Viorica Dancila also sent condolences to the families of the victims in Genoa, Romanians or citizens of other nationalities. Prime Minister Dancila sent a message of condolence to Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, in which she expressed the solidarity of Romanian government and people with Italian government and people. In Chisinau, Prime Minister Pavel Filip sent a message of condolences to the Italian people and to all grieving families. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

The fence that Bulgaria builds on the border with Romania is over 80% ready

The fence that Bulgaria builds on the border with Romania in order to prevent African swine fever is over 80% ready. According to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry in the neighboring country,
more than 100 kilometers out of a total of 133 have already been built. The fence for protection extends from Silistra, on the Danube, to Durankulak, at the Black Sea. Also, at the entrances to Bulgaria through the border points with Romania tanks with disinfection solutions for vehicles were placed and vehicles transporting pig meat and pork products are checked. Meeting of Defense Ministers from Romania and Moldova

Romania will continue to support the Euro-Atlantic path of the Republic of Moldova, said Minister of National Defense Mihai Fifor in a bilateral meeting with his Moldovan counterpart, Eugeniu Sturza. According to the Ministry of National Defense, the talks focused mainly on the bilateral cooperation and in the allied context, occasion with which the two officials appreciated the very good development of the defense projects between Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The parties also agreed on a deep co-operation on military medicine and military education. Moldovan Defense Minister Eugeniu Sturza was on an official visit to our country at the invitation of his counterpart Mihai Fifor to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the Romanian Navy Day.
