Teodor Melescanu says that Romania and Slovakia support maintaining and adequately financing EU traditional policies in the future multiannual budget

Romania and Slovakia support maintaining and adequately financing EU traditional policies in the future multiannual budget, said Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu in Bratislava, present at „Annual Meeting of the Slovak Diplomacy”. He specified that Slovakia will support Romania during the presidency of the Council of the Union in 2019. Teodor Melescanu also referred to the fact that his visit coincided with the commemoration of 50 years since the repression on The Prague Spring by the Soviet bloc and he reminded of the liberation of Slovakia in 1945. „The only country which did not participate in this invasion was Romania”, said Teodor Melescanu. „It is a fortunate coincidence which offered us the possibility to see how appreciated Romania and the Romanians are. I have also referred to the efforts made by the Romanian Army in the liberation of Slovakia”. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
