A new edition of „The Golden Stag”, in Braşov

A new edition of „The Golden Stag” has begun yesterday, in Braşov. The event is organized by the Romanian Television and Radio Romania is its artistic coproducer. Twelve competitors, from ten countries, are attending the contest and our country is being represented by Florin Răduţă and Renate.
All 12 singers performed last night, six of them sang the song in Romanian, and the other half performed a song of their own. Artists from Georgia, Armenia, the Republic of Moldova, Lithuania and Austria each gave their best interpretation to a Romanian song. For the second part of the contest, the other six singers walked on stage, singers from Latvia, Cyprus, Italy, Austria and Romania.
Ştefan Bănică opened the series of recitals this year. The artist is emotionally attached to the festival and the fact that he as been present at three editions of it proves it.

Klaus Iohannis sent a message, on the European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Stalinism and Nazism

Today, president Klaus Iohannis sent a message on the European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Stalinism and Nazism, in which he stressed that honouring victims of totalitarian regimes doesn’t only mean commemorating them but also firm actions consistent with the principles of an authentic democracy. Also, Klaus Iohannis said that, in the face of all the attempts to relativize crimes of fascism and communism, it is mandatory that we firmly condemn the two ideologies, in all their forms. The chief of state also mentioned the saviour act of King Mihai I and the Romanian Army, 75 years ago, to take Romania out of the alliance with Nazi Germany.

Over 1000 people are expected to attend BIAS 2019, at Băneasa Airport

Over 100 000 people are expected to attend, tomorrow, at Băneasa Airport, the biggest aviation show in Romania, BIAS 2019. This year, the event is dedicated to celebrating 150 years of activity of the Henri Coandă International Airport Bucharest and 15 years since Romania became a NATO member state.

More than 100 planes, in the air and on the ground, air acrobatics in formation and soloist flight, fireworks and a concert at the end of the show are just some of the attractions of BIAS 2019, a show that has reached its 11th edition. The official opening is scheduled for 10 a.m. and, at the end of the show, at 21 p.m., a Spartan plane will perform. Organizers have some recommendations for the public.
Valentin Iordache, the spokesman for the Bucharest Airports company: There are no parking spaces so we strongly recommend that participants use public transport. We also recommend that people protect their heads, in the first place, that they wear sunscreen clothing, especially for children, and that they hydrate.
For BIAS 2019, the entrance is off charge.
