Financial analysts think the depreciation of the Romanian leu is connected with the high deficits of Romania, also being increased by the electoral campaign

The Romanian Leu continued yesterday to lose value and reached a new minimum compared to the euro, with 4,86 lei for one euro, a value announced by the National Bank. The national currency lost ground to the American dollar, which reached 4,11 lei and to the Swiss franc, estimated at 4,52 lei. The analysts think that the depreciation of the Romanian leu is connected to the high deficits of Romania and that the problem is also exacerbated by the electoral year.

Financial analysts expect the loss of value of the national currency to continue, with an estimation for August next year of 4,95 lei for one euro.
