Romanian meteorologists have issued a "yellow code" for the river Prut, in north-eastern Romania, between Oroftiana and the Romanian town of Rădăuți. Romanian Environment Minister Laszlo Borbely said that other rivers such as Tur, Crasna, Barcău, Crișul Negru, Crișul Alb and Olt were also threatening villages and towns in the region. While in the city of Buzău on Thursday, Mr. Borbely said the government was expected to grant the largest funds in 20 years (some 880 million RON) as damages following the floods this year, RADIO ROMANIA reported.
