Romania's National Day celebrations opened at the World Expo in the Chinese south-eastern city of Shanghai on Thursday. The advertising compaign of Romanian Tourism Ministry was inspired by national icons while concentrating on "the call of nature". As RADIO ROMANIA reports, participants in the event included Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi, Tourism Minister Elena Udrea and other officials including such Romanian sport icons as Olympic champion Nadia Comăneci, tennis star Ilie Năstase and Gheorghe Hagi, the famous Romanian football player.
