Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Romania and the Republic of Turkey

Romania strongly supports Turkey’s European Union membership bid and it considers extremely important to open new negotiation chapters, said Romanian  Foreign Affairs minister, Bogdan Aurescu, in a joint statement with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. The head of the Romanian diplomacy appreciated that Romania and Turkey are very close both bilaterally and regional as NATO allies and he characterized the Strategic Partnership between the two countries as very good. In turn, Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, said that especially the good relations with the Romanian authorities persuaded Turkey to invest significantly in Romania. „The investments Turkish citizens have made in Romania are known”, said Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, „which, of course, it would not have been possible without the support of the authorities and the Romanian Government”. He used the occasion to thank authorities and Romanian people for efforts to protect and respect the rights of national minorities.

„Danube Integrated Management” starts in Constanta

„Danube Integrated Management” event starts today in Constanta, organized within the the Strategic Project Danube Water, run through the Romania-Bulgaria Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2007 – 2013, Priority Axis 2. Its purpose is to create a system for monitoring and management of environmental factors on the Danube. Documents  on the results of the project will be presented.
They refer to increasing the capacity of rapid intervention in case of spills of pollutants, quantitative modernization and harmonization of waters and improving access to information and their visibility in order to understand and solve in common problems related to the management and protection of the waters in Romanian-Bulgarian border area. Also today, in Neptun takes place the concluding conference of the project Joint risk monitoring during emergencies in the Danube area border. ( RADIO ROMANIA reports).

First edition of the Salon of Inventions and Innovations „Traian Vuia” starts in Timisoara

Over 150 inventions will be presented today at Timisoara international specialized salon. The closing gases during an earthquake device, awarded with gold this year at the Geneva Salon and the drip irrigation system, energy independent, are among the stars of the first edition of the Salon of Inventions and Innovations „Traian Vuia”, Timisoara, which starts today at the Youth House. The show will feature more than 150 inventions registered in the competition in areas such as mechanics, electronics, plumbing, construction, medicine, security, agriculture, or environmental protection. The event is organized by the Society of Inventors of Banat. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
