Salaj – the county with the highest unemployment rate in Romania’s north-west region

Salaj became the county with the highest unemployment rate in Roamnia’s north-west region. Salaj authorities responsible for employment have required professional trainers in the area to organize training and professional re-qualification courses only in jobs demanded on the local labor market. They also urged economical agents to announce, according to the law, vacancies. The requests come after Salaj became the county with the highest unemployment rate in Romania’s north-west region. The biggest problems are in Cehu Silvaniei and Jibou towns, but also in rural areas. Penalties also apply for unemployed who refuse to accept a job, after it was found that there are more people who refuse to do so because of the low wages, almost similar to unemployment.
