Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu visited Renault Technical Center in Titu
After he visited Renault Technical Center in Titu, Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu assured the representatives of Renault that the infrastructure, especially Sibiu – Pitesti section, is one of government’s priorities. Mister Grindeanu recalled that the Center in Titu is Renault’s second of its kind after the one in France and it represents for Romania an example of how to develop a successful company. „I had discussions with representatives of Renault”, said Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu, „and of course I am and not the first but I hope to be the last to discuss about infrastructure.
Discussions on this topic took place here since 2007. I think it’s time to forget words, it is time to act. I assured Renault representatives that the infrastructure, especially Sibiu – Pitesti section, is one of our priorities”. Chief Executive Officer of Dacia and Grup Renault Romania Yves Caracatzanis emphasized that the company’s 16,700 employees in our country are recognized for their professionalism and sense of innovation.

Levels of poverty above average and severe in hundreds of localities in Romania
Over 50 localities in Buzau county are affected by poverty. Employment specialists say that poverty is caused by poor professional training but also by high unemployment rate. Five hundred and thirty-five communes in Romania have levels of poverty above average and severe. The data are from a recent study by the Institute for Social and Administrative Policies of the National College of Social Workers in Romania. Buzau county is part of the data that reflects the situation in the country. Twenty-eight localities have a poverty rate of over 50% and other 59 above 40%. The poorest of the 82 communes in Buzau county are Calvini and Bisoca. Buzău County Employment Agency director Ionel Tociu says that poverty increases the rate of unemployment and does not increase any professional qualification. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
The number of Romanian border crossing attempts by illegal immigrants increased
The number of Romanian border crossing attempts by illegal immigrants increased. Romanian Border Police announced that two groups were caught while attempting to enter or to leave Romania. Eighteen Iraqis, including five children, were caught in Caras Severin county at the border with Serbia when they intended to enter Romania, from where they wanted to go further to Western Europe. Other 14 migrants from Iraq, Iran and Palestine, asylum seekers in Romania, tried recently to cross the border with Hungary, but they were stopped by Romnanian border policemen.
