Romania has at its disposal over 6.8 billion euros for transport investments

Romania has currently at its disposal over 6.8 billion euros for transport investments, of which 5.1 billion from European funds, said European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu. She met with Romanian Transport Minister Răzvan Cuc, in Brussels, with whom discussed the status of the projects financed from cohesion funds. Corina Cretu talked about the benefits of these programs, which made possible expanding and improving the transport network in Romania, such as Nadlac-Lugoj and Bucharest-Constanta sections, by renovating 301 kilometers of infrastructure. Minister Răzvan Cuc presented the commitment of the Romanian authorities to finalize ongoing investments and to ensure the start of new transport projects. Among them Sibiu – Pitesti highway, the southern belt of Bucharest, Radna – Gurasada – Simeria railway and Târgu-Mureş – Iaşi highway were mentioned. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

Airbus Helicopters – IAR exclusive cooperation or the production of the H 215 M multipurpose helicopter in Romania

Airbus Helicopters and IAR signed a general agreement of exclusive cooperation for the production of the H 215 M multipurpose helicopter in Romania. According to the document, IAR will become the main contractor for any possible helicopter order of this type which the Romanian Ministry of Defense will do to replace the aging fleet. In a press release, the Embassies of France and Germany in Bucharest welcome and support the industrial cooperation established by the signed agreement. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)

March 21 officially became Oltenia Day

March 21 officially became Oltenia Day. President Klaus Iohannis promulgated a law in this respect. The holiday will be marked by local and central authorities, as well as by public cultural institutions abroad, by organizing programs and manifestations of cultural, artistic and scientific character. At the same time, public radio and television stations may include in their programs emissions or aspects of the events dedicated to this holiday. (RADIO ROMANIA reports)
