The Romanian Foreign Minister is visiting Israel

The head of Romania diplomacy, Teodor Melescanu, who is on an official visit to Israel, is due to meet the Israeli President, Reuven Rivlin, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Bilateral cooperation, the crisis near Israeli borders, the situation in Syria and Iraq, prospects of the Iranian nuclear deal and the Israeli-Palestinian peace process are subjects on the agenda. Israeli officials will speak about the Iranian threat to Israeli security and the diplomatic cooperation within international institutions and bodies. A few days ago, the President of Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee in the Israeli Knesset has met the Romanian Foreign Minister in Bucharest. Teodor Melescanu has appreciated the visit by the Israeli delegation as an opportunity to reaffirm the excellent bilateral relations. The Romanian Foreign Minister will visit the Holocaust Memorial „Yad Vashem” in Jerusalem, on Monday.

More than 250 American soldiers have come to Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base in Constanta

Over 250 American soldiers have reached the Mihail Kogalniceanu military Air Base in the Romanian county of Constanta. They are due to take part in joint exercises with Romanian soldiers. The United States Army has dispatched a battalion from Poland and sent it to Romania, at the Kogalniceanu Air Base. The Battalion 1 Vanguard that came to Romania, will show its capability and skill to act in case of armed conflicts. Vanguard is part of the Regiment 18 Infantry and would be activated as part of „Atlantic Resolve”, a military operation that will include the entire Europe. Atlantic Resolve is meant to prove the continuous commitment of the US in ensuring security, through a range of actions to defend NATO partners, after Russia’s intervention in Ukraine.

„Experience Romania”, the largest project to promote tourism in the country has these days invited 100 travel devotees, bloggers, instagramers and journalists to present places that are worth visiting and do not get an adequate promotion. The participants will visit for two weeks places like Sarata Monteoru, Roman, Piatra Neamt, Gura Humorului, Sibiu and Brasov.
