Protests across the country against Government Emergency Ordinance number 7

More than 1500 people in Bucharest marched, last night, from Piaţa Victoriei to the Justice Minister, to contest Government Emergency Ordinance 7. In Cluj, demonstrators marched through the center of the city, asking for the annulment of the normative act, while, in Sibiu, hundred of people gathered in Piaţa mare and started off on the main roads, chanting slogans against the present leaders but also sustaining the magistrates. Protests have also been taking place in Constanţa, Iaşi, Timişoara and Galaţi. Also, last night, actors of the National Theatre in the capital have demonstrated on the stairs of the institution, asking for the revocation of the ordinance and the resignation of the justice minister.

IGSU launches a campaign of educating the population in case of an earthquake

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) launched the campaign „No quake in case of an earthquake”, which focuses on developing preventive culture and education of the population in case of an earthquake.
On its Facebook page, IGSU published, on Monday, a video which explains what must be done during a high magnitude quake.
„Our mission remains that of saving lives but each one of us must be responsible and learn the main protective steps and rules. Learning and adopting a proactive behavior in case of emergencies can save your life”. Also, they present the fiipregatit.ro web site, the national platform of preparation in case of emergency situations, where people can find information in case of flooding, avalanche, frost, snowstorm, earthquake, fire, landslide, robbery, storm and many other special situations. On the same site you can find information about offering first aid and confronting domestic violence.
The Inspectorate also announces that on Monday, until 17:00, visitors can enter freely the Fireman National Museum (Foişorul de Foc)
42 years ago today, on March 4th  1977, an earthquake killed 1578 people, injured many more and destroyed tens of thousand of homes.

Michael Jackson’s successors freely share the complete footage of the concert in Bucharest

On Sunday, Michael Jackson’s heirs posted, on YouTube, free of charge, the concert held by the star in Bucharest in 1992, the offer being made at the same time as the release of the HBO documentary containing sex abuse accusations against the musician.
The administrators of Michael Jackson’s heritage posted the two hours concert under the title „Live in Bucharest (The Dangerous Tour)”, mentioning the fact that the recording is available for a limited period of time.
According to the announcement, the release of the Bucharest concert will be followed, Monday evening, by the entire concert that Michael Jackson held in London, in 1988.
The two recordings make up for four hours of video material, the same duration as the two episodes of the documentary broadcasted by HBO, „Leaving Neverland”, by Dan Reed.
According to a declaration published by HBO, which has been asked for 100 million dollars in damages, the decision to broadcast the documentary aims to „offer everyone a possibility to evaluate the film and the accusations presented in it on their own”.
