He also believes it would be useful to consider a possible review of the constitutional and legislative system, at an appropriate political time, so that democracy is strengthened.
President Klaus Iohannis has stated in his message that any review will have to be carried out with maximum responsibility, in order to have a modernized fundamental law, which will allow the development of a powerful and efficient state. Files from the archive of the former Securitate could stretch for more than 27 kilometers

The archive of the former Securitate now covers an area of over 3,200 square meters and represents 27 kilometers of files, said the director of the Archive Warehouse in Popeşti-Leordeni, Ionel Ivaşcu, on the 20th anniversary since the first Law to de-conspire the former Securitate was adopted. He said that the warehouse at Popesti Leordeni includes the files taken from the SRI, the Ministry of Justice, the Public Ministry and the Ministry of Defense. According to Ionel Ivaşcu, those who accepted to become informants were sometimes very young.
Ionel Ivaşcu: We have files from informers as young as the ninth grade, because at such a young age you they couldn’t always realize what was asked from them, in terms of the information provided. Yes, there were surprises when the children, without knowing, gave information about the parents’ activity. For example, that they were listening to foreign radio station.
Mr. Ivascu added that the lack of financial and human resources has hampered the transfer of the documentary fund at Popesti Leordeni to a digital form.
