In the last two months, air traffic at the 16 airports in the country has decreased by 96% – according to the Romanian Airports Association, which asked the Ministry of Transport to grant state aid for this sector, exemptions from paying taxes on profit or postponement of payment of salary contributions. According to the data presented, four routes still banned from commercial flights, namely Italy, Great Britain, Spain and France represent 43% of the total passenger air traffic from Romania to the EU.
