The health minister announce that the authorities still have the coronavirus crisis under control

Authorities announce that they still have the coronavirus crisis under control but that isolation must remain a standard rule during the pandemic. The health minister, Nelu Tătaru, said that respecting restrictions is more and more difficult, while Romania has a continuously bigger number of cases. He specified that a draft law will be elaborated for quarantine and isolation conditions, and that it will get to the government next week.

Health minister Nelu Tătaru advises the population to respect sanitary protection measures, specifying that in the last three weeks the number of new cases of COVID-19 has been rising. The delay of the relaxation measures, that were supposed to be implemented starting the 1st of July, is caused by this rise – the minister said – and by the rise of cases at ITU.

The number of policemen, riot police and fire workers will also rise in the next period. They will check urban and rural areas to make sure rules are being respected.
