Beaches on the Romanian seashores will be monitored using drones

Beaches all along the Romanian seashore, from Năvodari to Vama Veche, will be monitored using drones. The project has already been started in Mamaia and Năvodari, which have been supervised on a 12 kilometers distance. Specialists say that this way it can be observed if administrators respect legal rules on the beaches: ensuring 70% of the surface for chaise lounges and 30% for towels, ensuring a 5 meters strip starting from the sea line on the whole beach for interventions, mechanized maintenance and sanitizing. Proof of respecting or violating rules will be presented to the Control commission of the Tourism Minister.

Lithuania thus joins Malta, that imposed such a restriction at the beginning of this month, due to the high number of COVID-19 infections reported in Romania. Romanian citizens cannot travel in Finland either, except for those who have a working contract in the country, who study there or who have a first degree relative who lives in Finland. On the other hand, Romanian citizens who travel to Estonia, Ireland, Lithonia, Holland, Slovenia and Hungary have to self-isolate for 14 days. Other European states impose Romanians who enter the countries to present negative results for the coronavirus test not older that four or two days or even ask to go through testing before crossing the border. In total, 20 European states impose travel restrictions for Romanians.
