President Klaus Iohannis criticizes the PSD action to initiate a motion of confidence

President Klaus Iohannis criticized the action of the Social Democrat Party to initiate a motion of confidence during the parliamentary holiday, in an extraordinary session. Moreover, the president says that the motion of confidence is not valid and that this party wouldn’t have a solution for Romania. Klaus Iohannis: It is not only cynical but also irresponsible. You cannot come in full pandemic and economic crisis, to overthrow the government just to show your electorate that you still exist. It doesn’t have solutions for Romania, PSD does not have solutions for the Romanians. PSD is probably looking for solutions for its barons who feel disconnected from the public resources and who probably suffer.

The social-democrats criticize the executive for the way it managed the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, for the public spending made by the government during the state of emergency and for the drop in the living standard on the population.
