Romanian border Police found 14 illegal migrants from Turkey and Afghanistan in a commune in the Timis county

Romanian border officers have discovered 14 illegal male migrants from Turkey and Afghanistan, jammed in a car, during a routine checking aimed at countering the illegal migration close to the commune of Jebel, in the Timis County. The car driver was a Romanian citizen who was trying to help the foreigners to get to Timisoara. Police have opened investigations for migrant trafficking in the case of the driver, who was detained for a period of 30 days.

Romania has vaccinated more than 123,500 youngsters aged between 12 and 19

More than 123,500 Romanian youngsters aged between 12 and 19 have been vaccinated against COVID-19 so far, according to the National Vaccination Committee. More than 8,500 of them are adolescents aged between 12 and 15, whose immunization against COVID-19 started on June 2. Those under aged have to be accompanied by one of their parents or legal guardian. A prior appointment in the online vaccination platform helps them to avoid the risk of waiting at the center. Nevertheless, people without an appointment also have the possibility to receive a shot, according to the coordinator of the vaccination campaign, Colonel Valeriu Gheorghita.

The UNTOLD music festival will be held in Cluj-Napoca in September 2021

Organisers of the UNTOLD music festival have announced on Monday that this year’s edition of the show will be held in Cluj-Napoca in September.
Initially scheduled for the start of August, the sixth edition of the event has been postponed to the first part pf September – between the 9th and the 12th of that month. Last year, UNTOLD was canceled, along with most festivals, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
