Romania reaffirms its firm commitment to the reforms and European integration of the Republic of Moldova – President Klaus Iohannis said during his visit to Chişinău. The president took part in the ceremonies by which the Republic of Moldova marks 30 years of independence, together with the Moldavian President Maia Sandu and the Presidents of Poland, Andrzej Duda and Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenski. Romania was the closest and most sincere friend of the Republic of Moldova, said President Klaus Iohannis and added that our country has always honored its commitments for the direct benefit of citizens across the river Prut. The head of state also stated that the election results open the way for the Republic of Moldova to a solid development. He assured that Romania is ready to provide full support in the processes of transformation, modernization and implementation of reforms. The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, stated that her country wants to become a factor of stability in the region, which frequently faces complex problems.
The Polish President, Andrzej Duda, said that he will support the Republic of Moldova on the path to European integration, while the President of Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenski, stressed that his country also marks 30 years of independence in not at all easy conditions in terms of security.

The National Committee for Emergency Situations has updated the list of countries with a high epidemiological risk, which will enter into force in two days, at midnight. Greece, Turkey, Spain and Switzerland are in the red zone, which means that only vaccinated tourists are exempted from quarantine when they come from these regions. Following the increase in incidence, Bulgaria, Serbia, Albania, Slovenia, Japan, Palestine and the Philippines entered the yellow zone. Romanians who return from the yellow zone are not quarantined if they are vaccinated, have passed the disease or have a negative PCR test. The United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and the British Virgin Islands entered the green zone.

The number of new cases of coronavirus infection has exceeded 900 in the last 24 hours

The number of new cases of coronavirus infection has exceeded today, for the second day in a row, the threshold of 900. More precisely, there were 946 new COVID-19 diseases confirmed after almost 40,000 tests. Bucharest still has the most new cases, almost 230, and is followed by Ilfov County, with 52 cases. The number of those who need care in medical units is also increasing. There are 1,763 patients with COVID-19 in the hospitals today, a level that has not been reached since the beginning of June. 238 people are in Intensive Care units. From yesterday until today at noon, 19 more deaths were registered associated with coronavirus infection, two of which were in the age group 30-39.
