The National Cancer Plan will be launched on Wednesday afternoon, in an event that will take place at Cotroceni Palace, in the presence of President Klaus Iohannis. In February last year, the European Commission launched the European Cancer Plan, which allocates € 4 billion to fund prevention, research and treatment programs within the Union. In our country, at the level of the Parliament, a working group was created to fight cancer, which aimed at transposing the European plan into Romanian legislation. Romania currently has a national cancer program at the National Health Insurance House, through which part of the treatments and tests are settled, as well as some prevention programs at the level of the Ministry of Health. Increases testing capacity to identify SARS-CoV-2 infection

Testing capacity to identify SARS-CoV-2 infection will increase, and by the end of next week more than 100,000 tests would be performed daily, Health Minister Alexandru Rafila said at the opening of the government meeting. He explained that over 2,300 family doctors already have contracts with the County Health Insurance Houses and have started testing in their own offices.
