In the Romanian county of Neamt, around 150 Ukrainian refugees have received accomodation so far

 

Since the start of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, 149 refugees have been accommodated in the county of Neamt, prefectAdrian-Vasile Nita has announced in a press conference on Tuesday. He added that most of them remained in the county for no more than two nights and chose to leave afterwards. „Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has triggered a wave of refugees coming into our country. Most of the refugees expressed their option to transit the county of Neamt and the country. Most of them stayed in Neamt for one day, maximum two, and then they chose to leave. In the county, 149 refugees were officially accommodated so far, the prefect Adrian-Vasile Nita said. He also added that more than 1,000 accommodation spaces with beds for refugees are already available in the county and another 1,000 accommodation spaces could be set up in gyms and cultural centers, if needed. The press conference was also attended by an interpretor who translated the main information of interest for the refugees from Romanian into Ukrainian.
