The people of Brașov are expected, on Saturday, from 17.00, in front of the institution, to show their support towards those from Ukraine.
„I am waiting for you on Saturday, from 17.00, in front of the town hall, to convey to the Ukrainians that they are not alone, that we, the people of Braşov, like the inhabitants of all European cities, support their fight for freedom, for democracy, for an independent state. This war is not one state against another, but a war that Russia is waging against European values and principles, which our fellow citizens in Ukraine are defending with the ultimate sacrifice, so they must feel that we are all on their side”, stated the mayor of Brașov, Allen Coliban.
The action takes place in several European cities, at the initiative of Dario Nardella, President of Eurocities and Mayor of Florence. Already, several cities in Italy have announced that they will join this movement. In our country, this event is supported by the Association of Romanian Municipalities./aboboc
