They ran on the snow of the Transfăgărăşan for HOSPICE patients. Both Romanian and Ukrainian. It happened this last weekend, during Transnow – a competition of mountain running, on Transfăgărăşan, close to Capra cabana.
The third winter competition started with 40 runners, in two contests. One of 10 kilometers and one of 21 kilometers.
Transnow supported two causes, one of which was HOSPICE Casa Speranţei. This year, contestants also ran for Ukrainian patients.
“One of the HOSPICE headquarters, the one in Adunaţii Copăceni, has been transformed in a center for refugees. Along with humanitarian aid, children with life limiting illnesses and adult refugees who suffer of cancer receive medical aid from HOSPICE, in centers in Bucharest, Braşov and Adunaţii Copăceni, but also by the means of home caring teams. The 5,000 lei gathered through individual fun raising campaigns on GatantOm Platform, by the participants of Transnow, will help us support patients in need, both Romanian and Ukrainian”, said Alina Burlă, event coordinator in Casa Speranţei HOSPICE./aionita
