Brasov, the first city in the country that wants to offer workplaces to refugees

After providing them with food and shelter, the Brasov municipality wants to help Ukrainian refugees earn a living, offering them about 2,000 jobs in various fields.
Thus, in a few days, at CATTIA, where the refugee reception and registration center is located, a counseling office for the integration of refugees in the labor market would be opened.

Here the match between supply and demand will be made. Moreover, large employers could come up with other facilities.

„It simply came to our notice then. We are talking about over 2,000 jobs, priority jobs in traditional fields for Brașov, such as IT, such as the engineering and automotive area, such as the HoReCa segment, but also jobs that are suitable and open and those who do not have high qualifications, because there are jobs in retail, sorting, logistics, which can be filled after a course of a week or two. It is very gratifying that there is this availability on the part of the business environment, to deal not only with the issue of jobs, but also with other aspects related to integration, such as daycare centers – childcare centers – as well as support for to find housing, to pay a rent „, explained the mayor of Brașov, Allen Coliban.
More than 1,200 refugees have been registered with CATTIA and, according to authorities, 75% of them would like to stay in Brasov./aboboc
