From January 1, Romanians need an electronic authorization if they intend to travel to Israel

Romanians traveling to Israel need an electronic authorization from January 1, regardless of age and type of passport held. This travel authorization can be requested strictly on the government platform of this state, according to the Israeli embassy in Bucharest. The document is obtained within 72 hours and costs 25 shekels. Users will receive a receipt by email at the time of registering the request, and if they do not receive it, it means that they did not use the official website, the only one that issues the authorization. For its part, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs points out that the possession of a valid travel authorization does not guarantee entry into Israel, a decision to this effect being taken by the Israeli authorities at the time of crossing the border. The institution reminds that Romanians traveling to Israel for tourist purposes do not need an entry visa for a stay of no more than three months in a 180 day period.
