On Wednesday, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis received a delegation made up of representatives of the business environment for talks on the prospects of the Romanian business environment. The President said that this first round of consultations mainly had the role of assessing the opportunities, the issues and the priorities of the Romanian business environment. He said he wanted to stimulate a strong and sustainable private initiative and entrepreneurship in the Romanian economy. Business representatives supported the need of a favorable economic climate and appreciated that both legislation and government policies must address real issues facing business environment and in general the economy. American embassy in Bucharest confirmed that many Romanian citizens are ineligible to obtain a visa to travel to America, because they were convicted for criminal activities, including corruption.
