The jobs available to women, and also the wages of those employed are 10 percent less than those for men in the Central Development Region, which consists of Alba, Brasov, Covasna, Harghita, Mures and Sibiu counties. The React Association, which advocates for gender equality and fights against discrimination, organizes several events dedicated to the two cases across the country.

China will import from Romania raw materials for food industry. A trade agreement for 2015 has been signed so that Romania will provide food and raw materials for the Chinese food industry. Next year Romania will export to China basic food products, due to a trade agreement concluded between the business community from the Chinese city of Guangzhou and the Romanian food manufacturers. The agreement was signed at the latest edition of the International Congress for urban development in China, where Romania was represented by mayors of villages and rural businessmen. The partnership also includes exchange of experience in the administration of the two countries, and the examination of the existing possibilities to start joint investments, especially in infrastructure and agriculture.
Romanian pupils won six medals at the International Junior Science Olympiad
The Romanian pupils won three silver medals and three bronze medals at the International Junior Science Olympiad, held in Argentina – the Ministry of Education has announced.
