The authorities reported 2,136 new cases of coronavirus

2,136 new cases of coronavirus have been reported today by the Romanian authorities. 195 deaths were also announced, of which 16 before the reference period. It fell also below the threshold of 6 per thousand inhabitants the incidence calculated at 14 days in Bucharest, which is 5.78 compared to 6.26 as it was yesterday. In Ilfov, the county where record values ​​were recorded at the peak of wave 4 of the pandemic, only two cities now exceed 13 per thousand: Grădiștea and Copăceni

Ten counties in Romania have an incidence of COVID-19 cases below 3 per thousand. The lowest incidence rate, only 1.83 per thousand, is in Suceava County, which also has the lowest rate of coronavirus vaccination, about 30%. At national level, the incidence of COVID-19 is decreasing and stands at 5.17 per thousand inhabitants

33 tons of rice shell and aluminum waste from Greece were discovered at the Giurgiu Border Crossing Point

Romanian border guards and commissioners of the Environmental Guard discovered, at the Giurgiu Border Crossing Point, following some controls carried out on two road complexes, about 33 tons of rice husk and aluminum waste that were destined for Romanian companies. Following the verifications carried out, it was established that several fields in the annexes of the documents submitted for control were not completed. The waste came from Greece and was destined for two companies in our country. They were returned to the sending companies.
