Romanian officers have seized 200 grams of drugs at Henry Coanda International Airport

Romanian officers have recently seized 200 grams of drugs hidden in a man’s checked luggage at Henri Coandă Airport. According to a press release from the Romanian Police, the drugs were brought from Great Britain and were due to be delivered to consumers taking part in festivals and music concerts organized on the seaside, during the May 1st mini-holiday. Law enforcement officers have warned that the two drugs, consumed together, could lead to death.

Romanian diplomat Cosmin Dinescu will lead a mission of the European Union in Moldova

A Romanian diplomat, Ambassador Cosmin Dinescu, will lead the mission that the European Union will conduct in the Republic of Moldova with the aim of helping the authorities in Chisinau to face hybrid threats from Russia. The decision to elect the Romanian diplomat to this position was announced by the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, and was conveyed to the Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs. Cosmin Dinescu is a career diplomat. He currently serves as Romania’s ambassador to Lithuania and Latvia and has applied for the position of head of the European Union mission in Chisinau, along with seven other people, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bucharest has said.

Travel alert for France, where a general strike is due on Friday

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bucharest has issued a travel warning for France, where a new general strike is due to take place on Friday. Disruptions to rail traffic are expected at national, local and international levels. The National Union of Commercial Flight Attendants in France has also warned of a social movement involving flight attendants at the airline Vueling, which could lead to disruptions of air travel. Romanians can request consular assistance at the telephone numbers of the Romanian Embassy in Paris and their calls would be forwarded to the Contact and Support Center of Romanian Citizens Abroad and taken over by call-center operators on a permanent basis.
