The total number of deaths caused by the seasonal flu has reached 33
RADOR (26 february) – The total number of deaths caused by the seasonal flu has reached 33, from the beginning of the season of surveillance for respiratory acute infection, according to the National Center for Surveillance and Control of Communicable Diseases. Between 15-th and 21-st February, 12 new deaths were communicated, the same amount as in the preceding week, all due to the gripal virus H1. Those who died because of the flu were between a few months and 65 years of age, 22 persons male and 11 female. Until the 23-rd of February 573 cases of flu were confirmed, as a result of laboratory analyzes. (Radio Romania reports)
The Supreme Court of Justice decided that Senator Doina Tudor will be investigated by the DNA under judiciary control
RADOR (26 february) – The Supreme Court of Justice decided that senator Doina Tudor will be investigated by the DNAS under judiciary control, in the case in which she is alleged of complicity in bribe-taking. The judges at the Supreme Court rejected the request of the DNA for preventive arrest of Senator Doina Tudor, but the decision is not final. Doina Tudor is alleged of complicity in bribe-taking in a case involving her former husband, during the period he was vice-president of the Financial Supervisory Authority. (Radio Romania reports)
An Ukrainian Tourist disappeared in Piatra Craiului Mountain
Teams of mountain rescuers of Braşov and Argeş are searching an Ukrainian tourist that disappeared on Thursday morning, in the Piatra Craiului Mountain. According to a reporter, the man was the mountain guide of a group of six Ukrainian tourists. It seems that, at around 5 o’clock in the morning, he left the refuge by the mountain ridge in which the group took shelter during the night and did not came back. (Radio Romania reports)
