Two in five children encountered an unpleasant experience on the internet, shows an investigation coordinated by Save the Children

Two in five children have encountered an unpleasant experience on the internet related to offense, bullying, abuse or exposure to inadequate content for their age, shows an investigation lead by Save the Children. Parents say it is difficult to manage this issue and that they need advice.
Oana Yucel is the organizer of workshops on this subject.
Oana Yucel: I have encountered situations in which, as a parent, I have used passwords, laptop, tablet, phone restrictions, so that children don’t have free access to the internet. I have found out about the variant in which the child can make a connection to another child’s computer, on which parents haven’t used any restrictions and, thus, can have access to anything. I think that the thing that helps in this digital education is the relation we, as parents, have with our children.
