On April 2nd, the Romanian Parliament will meet in a joint session to mark 20 years since Romania joined NATO

The Romanian Parliament will meet tomorrow in a joint session to mark 20 years since Romania joined NATO and 75 years of existence of NATO. 20 years ago, on April 2nd, the Romanian flag was officially raised at the NATO headquarters in Brussels.
The Deputy Chamber and the Senate will mark, in a solemn meeting, scheduled for tomorrow, at 3:00 p.m., 20 years of being in NATO. On this occasion, the Parliament will adopt a declaration. Also, the Deputy Chamber is expecting a final vote for the law project initiated by the government which includes sanctions for violating the European union rules regarding using fluorinated gas that cause the greenhouse effect in several appliances, such as fridges, air conditioning machine. The fines can reach up to 100.000 lei, and the punishment ranges between six months and three years. This week, the Senate should start debating the emergency ordinance regarding merging European and local elections scheduled for June the 9th.

Almost 32,000 people have been integrated on the labor market in the first two months of the year, according to the National Agency for the Occupation of Labor market. Most of them are over 45 and come from urban areas. Most new employees are from Bucharest, followed by Timiş and Buzău. According to the agency, more than 2,200 unemployed people will be freely qualified starting next month. The most solicited qualifications are chef assistant, data input and processing operator, security agent or commercial worker. Meteorological alert for half of the country

Half of the country will experience high winds and wind swirls starting this evening, until Tuesday morning. A yellow code for high speed winds has been issued for the Western half of the country. Afterwards, after the first warning expires, a new one will come into force for the entire country, waiting for the same phenomena – winds and wind swirls. There are some regions where these phenomena will be more intense. An orange code is in place for those areas starting tomorrow morning until tomorrow at 6:00 p.m..
