Romanians must be treated like all European consumers and will no longer be victims of the double standard. The ordinance introduces clarifications regarding incorrect, misleading or aggressive practices – explained the Minister of Economy, Florin Spătaru. The penalties – if it is found that companies resort to such practices – rise, at national level, to the equivalent in lei of two million euros, and for exceptional, transnational cases, which are specified in the European directive, can reach up to 4% of turnover (RADIO ROMANIA NEWS)
