The Republic of Moldova and Romania will organize their first joint session of Parliaments

The Republic of Moldova and Romania will organize their first joint session of Parliaments, announced the speaker of the Moldavian Parliament, Igor Grosu, after a meeting, in Chişinău, with Marcel Ciolacu, president of the Deputy Chamber. Igor Grosu said he is happy that the first joit session of the parliaments of the two countries will take place in Chişinău, this being a clear signal of support for the current leadership. Marcel Ciolacu said that “Romania has always been beside The Republic of Moldova and has reiterated its engagement to support Moldova to join the European Union”.

Poşta Română, the national postal service, has open the first Digital Postal Office

Poşta Română, the national postal service, has opened its first Digital Postal Office, in Calea Dorobanţi, în Bucharest. The new terminal has been produced in Romania, it is completely automatic and available 24/7, while payment can also be made using a card. The machine can weigh and validate packages, but also print self-adhesive labels and receipts. Also, the Digital postal Office can send mail, it can be used to pay taxes, bills or bank payments. Poşta Română intends to install 70 of these terminals across the country in the next year.

The minister of national defense joined a reunion of “Bucharest Nine”

The minister of defense, Vasile Dâncu, joined, last night, the virtual reunion of the defense ministers of the member states of “Bucharest Nine”, co-organized by Romania and Poland. Talks have focused especially on consolidation efforts of the NATO deterring and defense policy on the Eastern flank, adopting a new strategic concept of the Alliance, as well as the evolution of the regional security situation. The reunion represented an occasion to harmonize the positions of the defense ministers in the B9 states on themes of common interest, preparing for the NATO reunion on June 16th, at Brussels, but also of the Alliance summit, in Madrid, at the end of this month. The Romanian minister of defense stressed the relevance of the future Summit B9, that will be hosted by Romania on Friday, June 10th, for the coagulation of the B9 member states’ positions, in the perspective of the future NATO Summit./aionita
