No road through Băneasa Forest

The mayor of Romanian capital Bucharest told reporters on Tuesday that there would be no permanent road passing through the forest of Băneasa, a near-by area in northern Bucharest. Residents in the area were victims of a developer wishing to rise housing blocks without any road facilities. Clotilde Armand, the mayor of Bucharests sector 1, said a decision aimed at closing such roads is wrong as Romsilva (Romania’s forest authority) should allow temporary access for people living there.
